STORY

What happens when Four Indian agents plan to bring India's most wanted criminal home from Pakistan? Nikhil Advani, The director of Romantic-Family films such as Kal Ho Na Ho, Salaam-E-Ishq and Patiala House churns out a High Voltage action thriller this time with an unbelievable and next-to-impossible storyline.

Four Indian agents (Irrfan Khan, Arjun Rampal, Huma Qureshi and Aakash Dahiya) enter Pakistan to bring Iqbal Seth (Rishi Kapoor) a Dawood Ibrahim kinda don who is hated for his terrorism activities, Which he insists calling a "Business". The story unfolds when the Hunters becoming the hunted and Nasser (Ashwini Rao) the RAW director is convincing as an official straining at the leash.

STARCACT

The performances, Veteran Rishi Kapoor enacts the part of Iqbal Seth marvelously. His at-ease manipulations, His eyes behind red goggles which scares the hell out of you are simply superb. Irrfan as Wali Khan is also outstanding. Arjun Rampal looks smashing and pulls off a competent act brilliantly. Huma Qureshi does well as a cutie-pie who can squeeze a knife real bad on the enemy. Aakash Dahiya is also good. Shruti Haasan doesn't look convincing at all as the Prostitute. Somehow you feel Shruti is not comfortable in pulling off those lines and the whole act. Nasser as the RAW director is good.

Nikhil Advani is a good director. But somehow D-Day has it's loose ends, Especially because of the unconvincing plot. D-Day also drags in many parts. The track between Arjun Rampal and Shruti Haasan looked out of the blue. The camera work and production values are terrific. The editing part is weak. On the musical note, Again there's no song in the film which will last in your brains for a long time. The background score is good.

D-Day can be touted as a good time-pass action thriller. But according to me, D-Day is neither debatable nor patriotic. The film is yet another attempt of targeting the neighboring country. Despite of the presence of this huge star-cast, The film will have to face a huge oppositions and the Ramadan period.
